Norio Nakatsuji to Speak at World Stem Cell Summit Plenary

U.S.-based nonprofit Genetics Policy Institute (GPI) has named iCeMS Director Norio Nakatsuji as a plenary speaker at the upcoming World Stem Cell Summit 2011, taking place October 3-5 at the Pasadena Convention Center in California. Prof. Nakatsuji is the only Japanese expert thus featured in the three-day program.

The first such summit was produced by GPI in 2005, since then annually attracting around 1,000 researchers, industry leaders, lawmakers, regulators, patient advocates, legal experts, investors, and philanthropists. Organizers this year include the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM), the California Institute of Technology, and the Consulate General of Canada in Los Angeles. The iCeMS as well as the Harvard Stem Cell Institute (HSCI) are among the 120 organizations endorsing the event.
