Yasuhiro Yamada Receives CiRA Award

Kyoto University's Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS) adjunct professor Yasuhiro Yamada was among one of several individuals awarded the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA) Award, which recognizes scientists for their outstanding contributions to education, research, and the community. This award is meant to advance research developments.

The awards ceremony was held on January 6, 2014 in CiRA's first floor seminar room with CiRA director and iCeMS PI Shinya Yamanaka presiding the prizes. In his speech, Yamanaka encouraged researchers to remember CiRA's objectives and achieve targeted milestones by 2020 for the purpose of helping patients who are suffering from incurable diseases.
