Motomu Tanaka and Hiroshi Imahori to Host International SPIRITS Symposium in Kyoto on November 18-19

November 11, 2014

Institute for integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS) professors Motomu Tanaka and Hiroshi Imahori will host a two-day international SPIRITS Symposium, titled "Creation of Bio-Inspired, Non-Biological Mesoscale Hybrid Materials," on November 18-19, 2014. The symposium will take place in the second floor seminar room of iCeMS Main Building.

The event, made possible by Kyoto University's SPIRITS grant, brings together prominent international researchers from academia and industry to discuss recent findings on bio-inspired materials for various device applications, such as sensors.

SPIRITS stands for "supporting program for interaction-based initiative team studies" and serves as a mechanism for promoting international collaborations to create innovative areas of science.

Registration is free and open to all individuals who are interested in attending.
