19th iCeMS Seminar/Commemorating the Establishment of the Center for Meso-Bio Single-Molecule Imaging (CeMI) 2 - Prof. Gebhard F. X. Schertler

CeMI: Center for Meso-Bio Single-Molecule Imaging

Prof. Gebhard F. X. Schertler is a leading X-ray crystallogrpher, who is famous for elucidating structures of several key GPCRs. He is also known as an excellent lecturer, explaining what are involved in crystal growth of membrane molecules, and what the x-ray structure of the protein implies for its function and pharmacology, using the terms understandable by non-specialists. We hope that many scientists participate in his seminar at Kyoto University. Please note that it will be held in the Graduate School of Science in the north campus.
