29th iCeMS Seminar/Commemorating the Establishment of the Center for Meso-Bio Single-Molecule Imaging (CeMI) 7: Prof. Alpha Yap

CeMICenter for Meso-Bio Single-Molecule Imaging

How cell adhesion, signaling, and cytoskeletal regulation shape morphogenesis is one of the most exciting area of research in life science today. One of the best paradigm for such a study concerns how the different epithelial cell junctions are assembled and connected to the cytoskeleton, and how cross-talk among them shapes epithelial architecture and barrier function. Prof. Alpha Yap is one of the leading scientists in this area, and would present his recent results on this subject, with a special emphasis on cadherin.
Refreshments will be served 15 minutes prior to the start of the seminar.
