Researcher Q & A

Where are you from?

Tamana, Kumamoto, Japan

Why did you become a researcher?

I was attracted by various forms and modes of life through watching David Attenborough’s “Life on Earth” (BBC). I just wanted to know how the diversity was formed.

What is your favorite experiment, theory, device, reagent, lab equipment? Why do you like it?

I like experiments using stem cells or early embryos. I like to watch their growth and shapes changing.

What is your hobby?

I love motorcycle touring and playing bass guitar. Both have rhythms and heavy bass sounds, which makes me feeling good without particular reason.
