40th iCeMS Seminar/CeMI Seminar Series 12: Prof. Charles Schmuttenmaer
CeMI:Center for Meso-Bio Single-Molecule Imaging
Thin films of TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) form the material of choice for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). I will describe experiments that characterize the intrinsic conductivity of this material as well as that of nanorods (NRs) and nanotubes (NTs). In addition, I will describe THz experiments that measure the efficiency of electron photoinjection from the adsorbed dye molecules into the TiO2 nanomaterial.
