Hiroshi Imahori Selected as Fellow of the Electrochemical Society

Professor Imahori

Hiroshi Imahori, a Professor of Institute for Integrated Cell Material Sciences (iCeMS), has been selected as a Fellow of the Electrochemical Society (ECS).

This fellowship was established in 1989 to recognize outstanding scientists for their advanced technological contributions in the field of electrochemical and solid-state science, and their active membership and involvement in the affairs of the ECS.

Imahori has been selected for his contributions to the development of Supramolecular and Electron Transfer Chemistry of Porphyrins, Fullerenes, Carbon Nanotubes, and Graphenes, and his great dedication to the Electrochemical Society. He will be the second Fellow from Kyoto University, following Emeritus Professor Zempachi Ogumi selected in 2002.

Formal recognition of this honor will be take place during the Plenary Session of the 230th ECS Meeting to be held in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA in October.
