Dr Ken-ichiro Kamei receives 73rd IEEJ Academic Promotion Award (Distinguished Paper Award)

Dr Ken-ichiro Kamei, Program-Specific Research Center Associate Professor of iCeMS, has won the 73rd IEEJ Academic Promotion Award (Distinguished Paper Award) from the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ).

This award is given to authors of excellent papers published in the IEEJ Transactions and the IEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

This award is a validation of Kamei’s successful development of a “Body-on-a-Chip using 3-D Microstructuring Technique”. The prize is shared by Drs. Yoshikazu Hirai, Toshiyuki Tsuchiya and Osamu Tabata of the Department of Micro Engineering of Kyoto University Graduate School of Engineering, and also by Mr. Yoshiki Kato of Denso Corporation.

The commendation ceremony will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Toshi Center Hotel Tokyo.
