Researcher Q & A
Where are you from?
Born in Kobe, raised in Tokyo.
Why did you become a researcher?
I wanted to find a new way of describing the world. I thought I had a better chance of becoming a scientist than a poet or a film producer, plus I really enjoyed doing science experiments in middle school.
What is your favorite experiment, theory, device, reagent, lab equipment? Why do you like it?
Sharpening forceps calms my mind.
What is your hobby?
I like listening to music. I also like checking floor plans of apartments since when I was small...that's been my secret hobby. The following book (on urban design and architecture) and musicians are my favorites.
・ (Book) "Shuraku-no-oshie 100" - I highly recommend it to those involved in design.
・ (Music) Radical Face - He weaves stories.
・ (Music) Tokyo No.1 Soul Set - They are the one and only.
