【公募:中辻グループ】Multidiscipline-Oriented Stem Cell Scientists
Kyoto University's Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS) seeks several postdoctoral researchers to take part in a new multidisciplinary research project for innovative stem cell research and development. Applicants may also be considered for junior faculty or technical staff positions depending on qualifications.
This 5-year project, led by iCeMS Director Norio Nakatsuji, aims to develop novel, robust technologies for mass production of high quality human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs), primarily human embryonic stem cells (hESCs), for medical and industrial applications. The project scope includes:
- Chemical biology for development of high quality/low cost defined culture media with chemical compounds
- Creation of novel biofunctionized scaffolds for hPSC culture using nano/meso-technologies
- Development of novel three-dimensional culture technologies for mass production of hPSCs
- Genome/epigenome study for quality evaluation of hESC lines
- Robust differentiation of hPSCs into important ecto/meso/endoderm cell lineages with chemical compounds
Application deadline: July 31, 2011. To apply, please send a CV and a 200-word description of research interest to nakatsuji-g@icems.kyoto-u.ac.jp (email subject: iCeMS job 1).
