Susumu Kitagawa awarded as 2014 Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher

On January 30, Extenal LinkThomson Reuters awarded iCeMS Director Susumu Kitagawa as one of its 2014 Highly Cited Researchers. The ceremony took place in the director's office at the iCeMS Main Building.

In order to identify the highly cited researchers, Thomson Reuters selected publications which belonged to the top 1% cited papers that were published during an 11-year period spanning from 2002 to 2014. The authors of these highly cited papers were then sorted by 21 general fields of study, and ranked according to the number of citations. A total of 3,215 researchers, which included Kitagawa, were listed as Thomson Reuter's World's Most Influential Scientific Minds in 2014.
