Outstanding Students from Talent-Spot Mumbai 2025 Visit Japan

From March 6 to 12, two students from India were invited to Kyoto. They were selected for the invitation after demonstrating outstanding performance at Talent-Spot Mumbai 2025, a student interview event held by iCeMS together with Kyoto University’s Institute of Chemical Research, in Mumbai on January 5. This was made possible with the support of Shimadzu Corporation in Kyoto.

During their stay, the students participated in the research group of iCeMS Director Prof Motonari Uesugi. They explored research facilities, engaged in discussions, and gained valuable insights through direct interactions with researchers.

On the final day, March 12, they visited Shimadzu Corporation's headquarters and Sanjo Plant, where they were given a tour of analytical and measuring instruments. The visit provided an opportunity to directly experience Shimadzu's cutting-edge technology and exchange ideas with experts.

Through this one-week visit, the students not only experienced state-of-the-art research but also deepened their understanding of the role of companies in advancing scientific and technological innovation.
