Prof Jun Suzuki Receives Kyoto University IAC’s Invention Award

On April 22, iCeMS’ Professor Jun Suzuki received the “Unique Invention Award,” a newly established category within the “Invention Awards” presented by Kyoto University’s Institutional Advancement and Communications (IAC). The award ceremony took place that afternoon at the IAC.

Established in 2023, the Invention Awards recognize outstanding ideas and discoveries born from the university’s research community. The program aims to support ongoing research, encourage innovation, and highlight contributions to society, industry, and beyond. The “Unique Invention Award,” introduced this year, honors particularly original, interesting, and unique inventions.

Suzuki received this award in recognition of his invention related to a new method for treating diseases.
