iCeMS Prof Nakanishi receives Lifetime Achievement Award

On October 14, it was announced that iCeMS Prof Kazuki Nakanishi was selected to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Sol-Gel Society (ISGS) for his “sustained contributions to the professional fabric of the sol-gel community.”

The Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest award which the ISGS gives out. It is awarded every two years, and “reflects outstanding contributions to sol-gel science and technology through broad and productive scholarship; by achievements in commercial and industrial applications of sol-gel science and technology; and/or by outstanding service to the sol-gel community that has been sustained over an entire career.”

The ISGS plans to celebrate the award in Lyon in 2022, during the International Sol-Gel Conference.
