Researcher Q & A

Where are you from?

Toyama City

Why did you become a researcher?

I wished to make a difference in the world via science when I was in high school. Although I had almost forgotten this passion during undergraduate years, the fascinating graduate research has reminded me of this again along with a great fun.

What is your favorite experiment, theory, device, reagent, lab equipment? Why do you like it?

My fun in the laboratory is talking to students in a friendly way, and disturbing their works.

What is your hobby?

Drinking a little with an amusing conversation, playing tennis with my family, taking a catnap secretly.

We aim at development of highly efficient photocatalytic reactions over semiconductor materials for solar energy conversion and environmental purification.
