[New article available] First Author Interview: Dr Kentaro Kadota

Dr Kentaro Kadota

A new article has been added to “First Author Interview”. The new interview is with Dr Kentaro Kadota, Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oregon studying under the JSPS Overseas Research Fellowship program.

In the series, we invite the first authors of a recently published manuscript for a letter-based interview on their work. In particular, we ask the author to tell us the behind-the-scenes story of their manuscript, as experienced personally by the author but not communicated directly in the manuscript.

While carbon dioxide is a cause of environmental problems, it is also a carbon resource that exists universally and abundantly on the earth. If we can convert carbon dioxide in the atmosphere into valuable chemicals and materials, it will lead to the realization of a sustainable society. Dr. Kadota and his research team have discovered a method to synthesize useful porous materials from carbon dioxide at ambient temperature and pressure.
