Science x Art “Imagination 2.0”

iCeMS held a Science x Art exhibition, “Imagination 2.0,” in the main entrance corridor of iCeMS’s main building from June 24 to July 7, 2016. Fourteen artworks were displayed, all inspired by scientific images and videos provided by iCeMS researchers.

Public talks were also held, offering audiences the chance to get closer to the art and understand it more fully. Ms Mieko Baba (designer, iCeMS Science Communication Group), who created the artworks for “Imagination 2.0”, Dr Shinichi Sato (iCeMS Uesugi Lab), Dr Tatsuhiko Ikeda (iCeMS NCBS-inStem Satellite Lab Group) and Mr Takayuki Honda (freelance science communicator) gave talks at these events.

The exhibition drew more than 700 people and concluded successfully.
