Welcome to iCeMS
Since being selected for the "World Premier International Research Center Initiative (WPI)" in 2007, iCeMS has continually pursued cutting-edge research and advanced governance systems. In 2017, our achievements were recognized, and we were designated as a "WPI Academy Center." As a WPI institute, we have always maintained a proactive attitude and embraced new challenges.
Under our clear vision, iCeMS is dedicated to leading the reform of Japan’s university systems as a model for next-generation research institutes. In addition to advancing material science and cell biology, we are conducting various pilot projects to achieve our goals, including promoting global collaborations, establishing core facility models, fostering innovation through startup creation, and cultivating an inclusive environment that embraces diversity.
